What Fiabelle collects

No family content or account data. There is no Fiabelle server to receive it. Your ledger — nicknames, avatars, balances, transactions, loans and photos — is written to storage on your own device and stays there. The connection metadata received by the market-data providers is described separately below.

• No email addresses. There is no sign-up or sign-in at all.
• No phone numbers. No SMS, no verification.
• No real-name requirement. Members are identified by a nickname you choose. Fiabelle never asks for a real name.
• No contacts, location, or advertising identifiers. The app never asks for them.
• No analytics or behavioural tracking of any kind.

How it works without an account

There is nothing to log in to. You open the app, name your family, and start. The ledger lives in a database file on your phone, inside the app's private storage, which the operating system keeps separate from other apps.

Because there is no account, there is also no password to lose and no recovery code to keep safe. Moving to a new phone is a file you export and carry yourself — see Taking your data with you below.

The one thing the app sends out

To show your money in your own currency, the app fetches public market data directly from two providers. This is the only outbound request Fiabelle makes, and we would rather describe it exactly than claim the app never touches the network:

• Binance — cryptocurrency prices.
• Frankfurter (European Central Bank data) — currency exchange rates.

The request is the same on every phone. It asks for one fixed list of currency codes and coin tickers — built into the app, identical for every family, and not derived from what you actually hold. This matters: a request shaped by your holdings would reveal them to the provider even without your name attached. The request payload carries no account data, balances, family content, or Fiabelle-generated user or device identifier.

Connection metadata still exists. Like any direct Internet request, a provider necessarily receives your source IP address and standard request headers. Providers may process and retain that information under their own privacy policies; Fiabelle does not control or receive their logs. If a provider is unavailable, Fiabelle keeps using last-known prices already stored on your phone and marks them as stale. It does not send the request to another crypto provider.

Stock prices are typed in by you and produce no request at all. Beside the field there is a "look up this ticker" link: tapping it opens Yahoo Finance in your browser, the way any link does. The app itself never fetches a quote and sends nothing about what you hold. The app is fully usable offline — only price refreshes wait for a connection. Even changing your family's base currency works offline, converting your history from rates already cached on the device.

Photos

A photo you attach is shrunk on your device, stripped of its embedded metadata (including any location or camera information), and saved into the app's own storage on your phone. Photos are never uploaded, never analysed, and never used for anything but showing them back to your family.

One honest detail. The app's storage is included in your phone's own device and iCloud backups, and Fiabelle does not exclude it. So a photo you attach is part of your backup if you have one — which is usually what you want, since it is how the photo survives a lost phone. It is your backup, held under your Apple account, not ours.

Taking your data with you

Export writes your whole ledger to a single file and hands it to your phone's share sheet. Where it goes next is entirely your choice — AirDrop, Files, a message, a cloud drive. It does not pass through us, and we have no way to see it.

The file is plain and readable, with no password on it, so treat it like any other document containing your family's finances. Exports do not include photo files.

Manual money — no financial linking

Fiabelle moves no money and links no bank accounts, cards, or crypto exchanges. There is no bank login, no exchange sign-in, and no open banking. Every balance and transaction is entered by hand. Fiabelle never has access to any real financial account.

No analytics, ads, or tracking code in Fiabelle

Fiabelle contains no analytics libraries, advertising SDKs, or tracking code. Fiabelle builds no profiles from your use of the app and sells no data. This website sets no cookies and loads no tracking scripts. These statements describe Fiabelle's code and website; market-data providers handle connection metadata under their own policies as described above.

Children's privacy

Fiabelle is made for families to use together and collects no email, phone, or real name from anyone — including children. A parent sets up the family and its member profiles on their own device.

Deleting everything

Settings → Delete family erases every member, wallet, entry and photo from this device. There is no server copy to request and no form to fill in, because your ledger was never sent anywhere. Deleting the app itself removes the same data.

It does not reach anything outside this phone: a backup file you exported stays where you put it, another phone you handed the ledger to keeps its own copy, and a device or iCloud backup made earlier still holds what it held. Those are yours to delete where they live.

What is outside the app

Fiabelle does not collect your ledger, but that does not describe every system involved. Your device backup, wherever you choose to send an export, and the providers listed above are each governed by their own terms. We mention it because a privacy page that implies otherwise would be overselling.

Changes to this policy

The date at the top of this page is updated whenever the policy changes. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
